Tools & Parts You'll Need:

First, make sure your vehicle has the right roof bars or roof racks installed. These racks/barsshould be strong enough to hold the weight of your rooftop tent and secure it properly.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installing the racks/bars, making sure they’re evenly positioned and securely fastened.

Before installing your tent, check your vehicle’s roof load limit.
Refer to your vehicle’s manual to find out the maximum roof weight it can handle. Then, make sure the combined weight of the tent and the roof racks/barsdoesn’t exceed that limit.
If you’re not sure whether your roof racks/barscan support the weight, ask the manufacturer or the seller to confirm.

Once your tent arrives, check that everything is in good shape and there are no missing parts.
Carefully lift the tent and place it on the roof racks/bars, making sure the support points line up with the crossbars of the racks.
Use bolts and nuts to secure the tent to the racks/bars. Make sure everything is tightly fastened.
Use your hex tool and torque wrench to tighten the bolts properly, so the tent stays secure on the roof.
Once it’s all installed, check everything again to make sure it’s balanced and there’s no wobbling.

Before hitting the road, always double-check that the tent is securely fastened to the roof racks/bars.
Periodically check the bolts and connections to make sure they’re not loosening over time.
While driving, avoid high speeds or rough roads that could cause the tent to shift or become unstable.
